Board and Train FAQs
MLK9 Atlanta offers three, four, and six-week adult Board and Train programs. Options range from foundational on-leash obedience to advanced on-leash and off-leash training.
Atlanta Board and Train programs are available for dogs six months and older. Our team will also consider your dog’s health, behavior, temperament, and training history.
Programs may cover Here, Sit, Place, Walk, Scale, Kennel, and Down. Training also addresses general manners, impulse control, environmental exposure, and responses around distractions.
The three and four-week programs teach listed commands on-leash and include off-leash recall inside your home and yard. The six-week program provides advanced on-leash and off-leash training.
Yes. Each Atlanta Board and Train program includes an E-Collar Technologies remote training collar. Your trainer will explain how to use it clearly and responsibly.
The three-week program costs $3,300, the four-week program costs $3,800, and the six-week program costs $4,800. Each program requires a $500 deposit, with the remaining balance divided between drop-off and pickup.
Behavior Modification FAQs
Behavior Modification is intended for dogs displaying aggression toward people or dogs, reactivity, unsafe behavior, serious control problems, or other significant behavioral concerns.
The Atlanta Behavior Modification program lasts six weeks. This provides time to work on obedience, manners, environmental exposure, handling, and safer behavior management.
Training may include Sit, Place, Heel, Down, Scale, Recall, Kennel, general manners, and on-leash obedience. The program also addresses environmental exposure and improved handler control.
No. Complete behavior change cannot be guaranteed. Results depend on the dog, behavior history, severity, training plan, environment, and the owner’s continued management after training.
Dogs completing Behavior Modification leave with on-leash obedience. MLK9 Atlanta does not recommend allowing aggressive dogs to be off leash in public.
The six-week Behavior Modification program costs $5,500. A $500 deposit is required, with $2,500 due at drop-off and $2,500 due at pickup.
